Risk desk

Outsourced risk desk management for prop firms and brokers

Your platform provider keeps the servers running. Someone still has to watch exposure, decide what to hedge, review flagged accounts and sign off payouts every day. We run that risk desk for you as a team, on top of whatever platform, bridge and CRM you already use.

Already have a platform provider? We run the desk on top of it

  • Most prop firms rent their trading platform and technology from a provider. That covers the software. It does not cover the daily risk decisions, and that is the work we take on.
  • We work with your existing stack: MT4, MT5, Match-Trader, cTrader, DXtrade or TradeLocker, your bridge and liquidity setup, and your CRM. No migration and no new vendor is needed to start.
  • If your platform or bridge also needs work, the same team can tune it, because we cover risk and technology together. That is optional, not a condition.

What the managed risk desk covers

  • Daily exposure review by symbol, account group and direction, with clear actions when limits are hit.
  • A-book and B-book decisions: which accounts to route, hedge or keep, and when to move them.
  • Flagged account review: cross-account hedging, copy-trading clusters, latency arbitrage, news abuse and martingale near drawdown limits.
  • Payout review and sign-off support, with account-level evidence for every approve, deny or partial decision.
  • Rule enforcement and rule changes when traders find new gaps.
  • A weekly risk report for management, and a monthly review of payout trends and program performance.

Who runs it

The desk is led by our founder, who ran the full risk and platforms function at a prop firm as Director of Risk and Platforms, with his own team covering risk, dealing, platforms, bridge, LP and flagged-trade review.

Before prop trading he spent years as a risk manager and chief dealer on FX and precious metals portfolios of more than $500M. Running a live desk is daily work we know, not a theory we advise on.

How it starts

A free 30 minute call, then a short onboarding: read-only access under NDA, a review of your rules and current exposure, and an agreed escalation process.

Most firms start with a diagnostic audit and move to the managed desk on a monthly retainer. Coverage hours, approval limits and reporting are agreed in writing. Final decisions always stay with the firm.

Questions

Can you run our risk desk if our platform is managed by a provider?

Yes. That is the most common setup we work with. The provider runs the software; we run the daily risk decisions on top of it, using your existing platform, bridge and CRM.

What is an outsourced risk desk?

It is an external team that handles a prop firm or broker's daily risk work: exposure monitoring, A-book and B-book routing, flagged account review and payout review, under agreed limits and reporting.

Do you have experience running a live risk desk?

Yes. Our founder ran the risk and platforms function at a prop firm with his own team, and earlier worked as a risk manager and chief dealer on FX and metals portfolios of more than $500M.

Who has final authority over decisions?

The firm. We act within approval limits agreed in writing, escalate anything outside them, and document every decision.

Can you also fix our platform or bridge?

Yes, if you want it. Platform and bridge tune-up is a separate, optional service handled by the same team.
