    How to read the result

Most prop firms watch sales. The number that decides survival is how payouts grow against fees. A firm can sell more challenges every month and still lose money if the pass rate creeps up, a few accounts take most of the payouts, or rules are not enforced the same way every time.

The break-even pass rate shows how much room you really have. If your actual pass rate sits close to it, one weak rule or one group of coordinated accounts can push the program underwater.

    Questions

How do I know if my prop firm is profitable?

Compare challenge fee revenue with payouts and costs over the same period. The key numbers are pass rate, the share of funded accounts that get paid, average payout size, and cost per account. If payouts plus costs grow faster than fee revenue, margin is shrinking even if sales are up.

What is a break-even pass rate?

It is the pass rate at which payouts plus variable costs use up all of your challenge fee revenue. Above it, every extra pass costs the firm money. Knowing it tells you how much room your rules and pricing really leave.

Why does a small change in pass rate matter so much?

Each extra funded account can pay out many times the fee it paid. So one or two points of pass rate, often driven by abuse or a weak rule, can move a program from healthy to losing money.

Are these numbers accurate for my firm?

They are illustrative. Real results depend on timing of payouts, refunds, account sizes, hedging and abuse. Our diagnostic audit models your own history instead of assumptions.
